The PTA plays an important role in supporting the social, academic, and physical environment of Lourdes Academy. Through events, volunteer initiatives, fundraising efforts, and teacher appreciation programs, the PTA helps enrich the educational experience for all students.
The PTA sponsors and supports many activities and programs throughout the school year, including:
Back-to-School Picnic
Family and student events
Catholic Schools Week activities
End-of-Year Carnival
Teacher Appreciation lunches and gifts
Funding for requested school resources, programs, and equipment
Faith-based community-building activities
Volunteer opportunities for families
Every family of a student at Lourdes is automatically considered a PTA member.
The PTA Core Committee consists of parents/members of the PTA who plan and coordinate annual events and initiatives.
Committee leaders and volunteers work together to make these programs and events successful.
There are many ways to support the PTA and our school community:
Contribute to the Annual PTA Fund
Suggested contribution: $50 per student (maximum of $100 per family)
Attend PTA meetings as scheduled to connect with other families and share ideas.
Volunteer your time, talents, and expertise.
Participate in school events and fundraisers throughout the year.
The PTA is only able to provide these enriching experiences and opportunities through the generous support of our school families. Our goal is 100% family participation, and every contribution, whether through time, talent, or financial support, makes a meaningful difference for our students and school community.
Together, we can help make Lourdes Academy an exceptional place to learn, grow, and thrive!

PTA / PALS Merger Frequently Asked Questions
What are PTA / PALS?
PTA and PALS are the parent-led groups committed to creating a positive and encouraging an environment for all students to excel and to provide support to our dedicated teachers. Through a range of events, fundraisers, and projects, their goal is to promote a feeling of inclusion and solidarity among all individuals at Lourdes Academy
Why are PTA / PALS merging?
PTA / PALS have been separate organizations because Lourdes Academy had students at its various buildings across the city. With all Lourdes Academy students now on one campus, one organization provides standardization and continuity at all levels.
When are PTA / PALS merging?
The merger took place on 7/1/2026 and preparation for this transition was in process all through the 2025-2026 school year.
What will the merged organization be called?
PTA
How do I get updates and information about PTA?
PTA happenings are regularly included in the weekly newsletters. PTA event and initiative information can also be found on its two Facebook pages (ELC, Elementary, Middle and High School pages). PTA also has a webpage (Lourdes.today/PTA) and email address ([email protected])
How do dues work?
Dues are $50 per child/tier (ELC/Elementary and MS/HS) and a maximum of $100 per family. Dues are paid with registration, and we ask all families to contribute. The events and initiatives of the PTA support students, teachers, and families at all levels at Lourdes Academy.
When are the 2026-2027 PTA meetings?
PTA plans to meet approximately three times per year to share broad updates to the Lourdes Academy community and ask for feedback. PTA will also have more frequent “Core Team” meetings to address particulars of events as they approach.
The first meeting is on September 23 at 8am and 5:30pm. The time for future meetings will be determined based on the meeting with the most attendance. Future meeting dates are yet to be determined. ***Update: On September 23, there were no attendees at the 5:30 pm meeting. Future meetings will be held at 8 am.
Who may be a PTA Core Team member?
Anyone who wishes to take a more active role in helping direct PTA’s activities is welcome to be a member. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
Who may be a PTA volunteer?
Everyone with VIRTUS training! PTA can provide opportunities for students, teachers, families, and Lourdes Academy overall because of dedicated volunteers and we welcome you! Please contact [email protected] for more information.
How will the PTA Treasury work?
Before the merger, both PTA and PALS maintained separate treasuries in the past, but now that the two organizations are merged, there will be one treasury with dollars allocated as appropriate.

Lourdes Middle School: Middle School Halloween Dance grades 5-8 October 29, 1:00-3:00Dear Lourdes Families,
First, THANK YOU for your incredible support of our Calendar Raffle! We know you just supported this fundraiser, and what an amazing turnout and success it was! Your generosity will continue to make a difference for our students throughout the entire school year.
As we prepare for the Lourdes Academy Gala on Saturday, November 14, we are asking for your support with our classroom baskets.
The Gala is our biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting the students, teachers, and programs that make our Lourdes community thrive. One of the highlights of the evening is our classroom baskets, featuring a special themed basket for each grade level.
This year, we are purchasing a larger item to complement each grade's basket. These items help make our baskets extra special and exciting for our Gala guests!
Our goal is simple: If each family donates $10 or more, we can cover the cost of these special items!
How can you help? Donate online: Make a credit card donation directly through this link: https://26Classbasket.givesmart.com
Send a donation to school: Cash or checks made payable to Lourdes Academy may be sent to school with your student. Please include your family’s last name and your student’s grade, and mark the envelope Attention: Jody Ruark, CBO.
We know this is another request during a busy fall, especially after the wonderful support you have already shown through the Calendar Raffle. Please know how much we appreciate your generosity. We could not make these events successful without the support of our Lourdes families!
Thank you for supporting Lourdes Academy, our students, and our teachers this fall and throughout the year. Every contribution makes a difference!
If you have any questions, please contact me at 920-426-3626, ext. 541, or [email protected].
