Old World Wisconsin is an outdoor living history museum where students can experience what life was like for early settlers in Wisconsin during the 1800s. Instead of just reading about history, students will be able to walk through historic buildings, interact with costumed interpreters, and see how people lived, worked, and built communities. As we near the end of the school year, this trip will help give students a strong preview of the topics they will explore in 8th grade U.S. History, including daily life in early America, immigration, and the development of communities.
Trip Details:
Lunch Information:
Students may bring a sack lunch and a beverage or choose to order a sack lunch through the school. There will not be a full food service available, though light snacks may be available for purchase. We will have a designated lunch time from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Chaperones:
We are currently looking for 3 parent chaperones to join us on this trip. If you are interested, please contact the Elementary/Middle School Office. Chaperones help supervise small groups of students (1 to 10 ratio) and support a safe and positive experience for everyone.
This is a great opportunity for students to step into history and begin building connections to what they will learn next year. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
